Painting: Robot WIP

I've been working on this one every now and then between portfolio work. The face isn't finalized (I drew the Big Hero 6 face for giggles) and I plan on filling in the concrete space and adjusting the bottom area. Until that comes around, enjoy my little robot guy and prepare to see him in a series of paintings!

Quick Practice: Desert

So I've been in a little artist block slump this week and this was the first passable thing I believe I could draw. I'm over it now and back to working on portfolio and other paintings though! I barely saved this because CC crashed and so I had to print-screen a jpg of this. heh

Paint Practice: Beach

Using only Goros Window brush, I did this in just under 5 minutes. I thought it looked cool and blog-worthy. heh. Just another quick practice before I start portfolio work.

Paint Practice: Garden WIP

Still doing some practices between Portfolio work, with it being spring, I've been interested in gardening and plants and all that jazz. It's not done yet but I felt like I needed to update before I forget.

Grimm: Witches House

I've been working and revamping these images for a while before I began to line-art them. I'm currently working on the exterior house getting ready to color and finish up the shading. 

Paint Practice (Chalk Brush)

It took me about 5 minutes to do this after taking a break from portfolio work. I've been really entranced by the ocean and doing underwater scenes or animations. As I'm typing this, I'm also watching Finding Nemo. heh I used specific settings that Loish uses for her forms and I really enjoyed using it! 

Portfolio: Line art and Concepts

Working more on Portfolio stuff today, I did some concepts for the upper and lower worlds of "Cloud 9"! The Above world being super heavenly and the Lower being grungy and polluted with a bit of desolation to it. I also worked a bit on the line art for the Witches house in my Grimm brothers story. By next weekend I hope to have the line art for a lower world piece and the colored version of the witches house!

Random Art: Space Paint!

So a couple days ago I learned to do space painting and I'm really excited to do more of these this summer! I've never gotten to do much with spray paint except a wall once for decoration so I really was excited to mess around with this medium. 

Doodle Time: Pet Plant

I was bored and I was in the middle of some portfolio work when I thought of this idea. I like thinking of characters but drawing them is a hassle, especially hands and feet. Heh. So I did a quick sketch of a cute venus fly trap and painted it. All together it took about 45 minutes to do. Hope you guys enjoy looking at it as much as I do!

Team Production: Style Shot

So I completed the style shot for our team production class and I'm much happier after a few adjustments. I had to tone down my normal drawing style to match other students background artistic level but I also typed up detailed instructions on how to paint their shots. Although not my style or something I would put into my portfolio, I'm proud of the outcome and about to begin my other shots.

Another Practice: Ani Roschier Brushes!!

Did another paint practice!! Using only brushes from SuperAni I wanted to do something with water and light. I have no idea what to put in the further background or above the foreground rock but for the short time this took, I'm content. With each practice I can only get better!
